January CEX Data Report: Significant Declines in Trading Volume Across Major CEXs, Spot Down 25%, Derivatives Down 17%, Website Traffic Relatively Stable

According to data collected by the WuBlockchain team, spot trading volume on major central exchanges in January 2025 decreased by 25% compared to December 2024. The top three in terms of change rate were HTX -8%, Kraken -10%, and Bybit -11%. The bottom three were Bitget -46%, Kucoin -41%, and Mexc -36%.

The derivative trading volume decreased by 17% month-over-month. The top three in terms of change rate were Gate +3%, Mexc -4%, and Deribit -18%. The bottom three were Binance -21%, Kraken -21%, and Bybit -20%.

The website traffic of exchanges decreased by 2%. The top three in terms of change rate were Gate +46%, Crypto.com +28%, and Mexc +6%. The bottom three were HTX -23%, OKX -17%, and Upbit -14%.
